Join a Book Club

The library offers two book clubs for readers. Either of these book discussion groups are open to new members. The library gets multiple copies of each book for the members to read. You just pick up a copy of the current book, show up, and participate in the discussion. But most of all....have fun.


The Morning Book Club:

  • Is for those who are available to meet in the mornings/daytime
  • Meets the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 10:00 a.m.
  • Meets in the Dr. H.M. Patterson museum
  • Is facilitated by Helen Lundeen
  • The books are chosen by the group as a whole
  • Each month you check out a copy of the book for the following month and then you return it after your discussion on it

The Evening Book Club:

  • Is for those who are available to meet in the evenings
  • The meeting day is Tuesday but the date is determined at each meeting for the following month
  • Meets in the Library's Periodical Room
  • Has no direct facilitator.  Is an open general discussion.
  • The books are chosen by the group as a whole
  • Each month you check out a copy of the book for the following month and then you return it after your discussion on it
